action
Antimicrobial and vitamin supplement. Chloramphenicol acts by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, at the level of the 50S subunit of bacterial ribosomes. The result of this antibiotic action is the inhibition of bacterial multiplication with a bacteriostatic behavior. Vit B1: it is indispensable for the metabolism of the nervous system cells and it reduces stress. Vit. B2: It helps with growth, and intervenes in hormone synthesis. Vit. B6: it intervenes in the synthesis of red blood cells, and it cooperates with the maintenance of the immune system and nervous system. Nicotinamide: it is essential for cell metabolism. Calcium pantothenate: pantothenic acid reduces stress and helps with cell growth, and calcium plays a structural role at bone level.
indications
Treatment of infections caused by gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, Chlamydia and Rickettsia. Indicated to improve the overall condition.
formula
100 mL of the solution contains:
Chloramphenicol (as palmitate) 3 g
Vitamin B1 150 mg
Vitamin B2 2 mg
Vitamin B6 100 mg
Nicotinamide 150 mg
Calcium pantothenato 20 mg
Excipients q.s.
dosage and administration
Dose: 2 mg/kg 5 to 7 days. Canary: 1 drop in the beak every 12 h. The bird should not be forced to open its beak due to the risk of causing a false route. Rub the dropper against the corners of the beak to stimulate a reflex that causes its opening. Administer slowly until completing the required dose.
contraindications
Hypersensitivity to any of the main ingredients.
collateral damage
It may cause bone marrow aplasia by blocking the mitochondrial protein synthesis of bone marrow cells.
Caution
Do not use for prevention.
Not extending the treatment for more than 10 to 15 days is recommended.
